If you currently have a wireless router, all you will have to do is connect wirelessly to it. To do this, go to Start->Connect To and click on your network name
If you are replacing an older computer and do not want to connect both computers to the internet, follow our PPPoE setup instructions.
If you have one computer and do not have a router, you will need to purchase a wireless router. We sell routers that have a one year warranty through Wisper and a lifetime warranty through the manufacturer. You can also purchase a router at any retailer that sells electronics. We suggest a standard wireless G router.
Once you have the router, connect the network cable that comes from our equipment outside to the 'WAN', 'modem', or 'internet' port of the router. Since you will still have the 'Wisper' PPPoE connection on your computer, go to Control Panel->Network Connections (XP) or Control Panel->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center->Manage Network Connections (Vista) and delete the 'Wisper' or 'Broadband Connection'. Then follow the instuctions listed by the manufacturer to configure the router. Our service uses PPPoE for the connection type. If you do not know your PPPoE username and password, please Contact Us.
